[04-18-2025] Pedestrian Injured in Hit-And-Run Crash at Broadway and Alamitos Avenue in Long BeachA man suffered upper body injuries after being struck by an SUV in a hit-and-run collision in Long Beach on Friday evening, April 18, 2025.

According to Long Beach Police Department spokesperson Richard Mejia, the incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. at Broadway and Alamitos Avenue.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the man was crossing Broadway southbound when he was hit by an SUV traveling northbound on Alamitos Avenue.

The driver of the SUV fled the scene and did not render aid. Emergency responders transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

Authorities have not released a description of the suspect vehicle. The Long Beach Police Department continues to investigate the incident and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
