[04-17-2026] Sonoma County, CA – One Person Killed, Two Others Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash in Sea Ranch

One person was killed, and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 1 in Sea Ranch, Sonoma County, on Friday afternoon, April 17, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded around 4:55 p.m. to the intersection of Highway 1 and Yardarm Drive.

Investigators said the driver of a Tesla was attempting to turn left onto northbound Highway 1 when the vehicle entered the path of a southbound Dodge pickup truck towing a trailer. The pickup was unable to avoid the collision.

The Tesla driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the Tesla was airlifted to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with major injuries, while the driver of the Dodge sustained moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to a hospital.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.

The incident remains under investigation.
