A 45-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash while crossing a marked crosswalk at the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Pepper Avenue in Rialto on Thursday night, April 17, 2025.
According to the Rialto Police Department, officers responded to the scene at approximately 11:00 p.m. and found the pedestrian lying on the ground with life-threatening injuries. Despite life-saving efforts from paramedics, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the pedestrian was in a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle. The driver failed to stop and fled the scene immediately after the collision.
Authorities have not released additional details and are urging anyone with information to contact Traffic Sergeant Justin Breen at (909) 835-9965. The investigation is ongoing.
