[04-16-2026] Placer County, CA – Two Killed, One Injured in Head-On Crash on Foresthill Rd. Near Auburn

Two people were killed, and one person was injured in a head-on crash along Foresthill Road near Auburn on Thursday afternoon, April 16, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at around 3:55 p.m. When officials arrived, they found that a black SUV and a white sedan had collided.

The male driver of the black SUV and the female driver of the white sedan were both pronounced dead at the scene. A female passenger in the SUV was injured and transported to a local hospital by air ambulance.

Authorities stated that DUI or substances are not suspected to have played a role in the collision. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
