A crash involving at least two vehicles caused significant traffic delays on westbound Highway 50 near 10th Street in Sacramento on Wednesday afternoon, April 16, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, emergency crews responded to the scene just after 4:00 p.m. CHP logs indicated that multiple westbound lanes were temporarily blocked at approximately 4:12 p.m., though all lanes were reopened by 4:23 p.m.
A Caltrans traffic camera near 16th Street showed heavy congestion along the affected lanes following the incident.
No injuries were reported in the crash. Motorists were advised to expect delays and consider alternate routes while traffic normalized.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the collision.
