[04-15-2024] One Person Killed, Three Others Hospitalized After Suspected Three-Vehicle DUI Crash in FullertonOne person was killed, while three others were hospitalized after a suspected three-vehicle DUI crash in Fullerton early Monday morning, April 15, 2024.

According to the Fullerton Police Department, the fatal collision happened at around 12:11 a.m. in the area of Harbor Boulevard and Orangethorpe Avenue.

Upon arrival, FPD found a white BMW, a blue Toyota Rav 4, and a black Chevrolet Silverado at the center of the intersection, all with significant damage. Reports indicate that the BMW was going south in the number one lane when it suddenly struck the rear of the Toyota, which was waiting at a stop light.

The BMW then hit another car, the Chevy, on the driver’s side. The Chevy was also stopped at the same red light as the Toyota but was in the number two lane.

A passenger in the Toyota, a 62-year-old woman from Anaheim, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Three more people, with ages ranging from 18 to 25, were transported to a local hospital with varying degrees of injuries. The vehicles the three were occupying were not specified.

FPD believes that alcohol and drug impairment are possible contributors to the cause of the incident based on the BMW driver’s speed and reckless behavior.

Further information was not immediately available. Potential witnesses are encouraged to contact the police to share their side of the story.
