One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash that prompted a full closure of the southbound 215 Freeway at 5th Street in San Bernardino on Saturday morning, April 12, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, at around 8:40 a.m., officers were dispatched to a crash involving a black Chevrolet Tahoe and a black Chevrolet sedan. The collision resulted in major debris scattered across multiple lanes.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and attempted life-saving efforts, but at least one person was pronounced dead. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
Two tow trucks and evidence recovery services were requested to assist with clearing the scene. The CHP is investigating the cause of the collision.
