A suspected DUI driver was arrested following a solo vehicle crash on the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 near South Indiana Street in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, early Saturday morning, April 12, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at around 1:10 a.m. after a gray Honda Civic struck an embankment and overturned, coming to rest upright against a guardrail.
Emergency services responded to the scene and confirmed that none of the four occupants were injured. The male driver, reportedly in his 30s, was detained and subjected to a field sobriety test. He was found to be over the legal alcohol limit and was taken into custody.
The CHP is investigating the incident.
