Reports indicate that a pedestrian named Magdaleno R. was struck by a red Mazda sedan.
The victim sustained arm injuries and was transported to a hospital.

The driver, identified as David Reyes D., fled southbound into Mexico. The authorities later arrested him early Friday morning after he attempted to re-enter the country.

David D. was booked into Imperial County Jail for felony hit-and-run driving. No other details were shared.
