A traffic collision involving a green Rivian vehicle, an SUV, and a sedan led to lane closures on the eastbound 91 Freeway in Corona on Thursday morning, April 9, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred near McKinley Street around 8:30 a.m., prompting the closure of the HOV, #1, and #2 lanes.
Caltrans issued a SIG Alert, warning drivers to expect delays due to the ongoing incident, with no estimated time for reopening the lanes.
The Rivian vehicle was reported to be on fire, and injuries were sustained in the crash. The Corona Fire Department responded to the scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
