According to the California Highway Patrol, a 96-year-old Carmel man was driving a Lexus sedan southbound on Highway 1 behind a Subaru sedan driven by a 24-year-old Oakland woman. At the same time, a 78-year-old Carmel woman was driving a Honda SUV northbound on Highway 1.

For reasons still under investigation, the Lexus veered left across the double yellow lines and collided with the Honda. The impact caused the Lexus to return to the southbound lane, where it crashed into the Subaru.

The driver of the Subaru reported no injuries. Both the Lexus and Honda drivers were transported to a local hospital with suspected major injuries.

The CHP stated that alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash, and the investigation is ongoing.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You

Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
