[04-08-2026] Sonoma County, CA – E-Scooter Rider Injured After Crash Involving Pedestrian in Petaluma.webpA 61-year-old man on an e-scooter was injured in a crash involving a pedestrian on North McDowell Boulevard in Petaluma, Sonoma County, on Wednesday morning, April 8, 2026.

According to Petaluma police, the incident occurred at 9:54 a.m. when the scooter rider, traveling without a helmet on the wrong side of the roadway, struck a pedestrian on the sidewalk. The victim was not injured. 

The police department’s on-duty volunteer, who witnessed the crash, quickly applied pressure to the rider’s wound and called for officers and medical personnel to respond.

The scooter rider sustained a head injury and was treated at a nearby hospital. Details on any potential charges related to the incident were not provided.

The investigation is ongoing.
