[04-08-2026] Lake County, CA – Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 20 in Clearlake Oaks

A 60-year-old female pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Clearlake Oaks, Lake County, on Wednesday night, April 8, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 9 p.m. on Highway 20 at Orchard Shores. 

Investigators report that the woman was crossing the highway west of Orchard Shores when she was struck by a westbound vehicle, described as a sedan. The pedestrian died at the scene.

The driver of the sedan fled the scene, and authorities believe the vehicle involved is a 2009 to 2013 blue Ford Focus, possibly in the Clearlake area.
