One person was killed following a collision involving a big rig and a sedan near Cafe 247 in Lucerne Valley, San Bernardino County, on Monday night, April 7, 2025.
At approximately 9:24 p.m., personnel from the San Bernardino County Fire Department were dispatched to the intersection of State Route 247 (Old Woman Springs Road) and Barstow Road following reports of a two-vehicle crash.
According to a local resident, a black, newer-model four-door sedan had become lodged underneath the semi-truck’s 50-foot box trailer. Fire crews assisted at the scene, and the California Highway Patrol confirmed that the semi was not transporting hazardous materials at the time.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been released. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the CHP.
