[04-04-2026] Los Angeles County, CA - Person Hospitalized in Grave Condition After Hit-and-Run Crash on Century Blvd and Western Ave.webpA person was hospitalized in grave condition after a hit-and-run during a street takeover in Los Angeles early Saturday, April 4, 2026.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident happened at around 3:36 a.m. in the area of Century Boulevard and Western Avenue. Police said the location of the crash was the southeast corner of Jesse Owens Park.

Authorities said officers were dispatched to reports of a car striking a pedestrian at a street takeover. Additional units were requested to help control the crowd, which began to disperse when police arrived. The vehicle involved was among those that fled the area.

No description of the suspect or vehicle was immediately released. The incident remains under investigation.
