A male passenger was killed, and the driver sustained minor injuries after their sedan crashed into a light pole near Baldwin Avenue north of Arboretum Way in Arcadia early Friday morning, April 4, 2025.
According to the Arcadia Police Department, the collision occurred at approximately 2:20 a.m. near the Los Angeles Arboretum and Botanic Garden.
Video footage from the scene showed the damaged vehicle entangled with a downed light pole, with Arcadia firefighters covering the passenger side with a drape.
Paramedics pronounced the passenger dead at the scene. The man driving the car was transported by ambulance to a hospital for treatment of pain and possible minor injuries.
The Arcadia Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is conducting an investigation into the cause of the crash.
