Minor injuries were reported following a rollover crash near Cal Expo and I-80 in Sacramento on Thursday evening, April 3, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle traveling westbound on I-80 was in the number two lane, followed by another car in the third lane.
As the lead vehicle slowed to about five mph, the second driver failed to notice the traffic ahead and swerved left, striking the rear right side of the first vehicle. The collision caused the first vehicle to overturn and land on its roof.
The crash caused significant traffic delays in the area. The driver of the rolled vehicle sustained minor scratches and was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation. CHP confirmed that no DUI was suspected.
The incident remains under investigation.
