According to the California Highway Patrol’s Yuba-Sutter division, the collision occurred shortly after 2:00 p.m. on the southbound side of the highway.

Investigations revealed that the 18-year-old was driving a Toyota Camry and attempting to pass a 22-year-old driving a Honda Accord.
