A 56-year-old motorcyclist was killed following a motorcycle vs. garbage truck crash in Garden Grove on Tuesday afternoon, April 2, 2024.
According to the Garden Grove Police Department, the fatal incident happened just after 1:00 p.m. in the 11700 block of Western Avenue.
The motorcyclist, later identified as 56-year-old Stephen S., was riding a 2023 Harley Davidson when he collided with the garbage truck. Responding officials rushed him to a nearby hospital for treatment, but he was pronounced dead shortly after.
The truck driver remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
GGPD is still investigating the cause of the accident. They do not believe alcohol or drugs are contributing factors.
