According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal incident occurred at about 6:00 p.m. along Folsom Boulevard at Mine Shaft Lane.

An unspecified vehicle reportedly struck the man for unknown reasons. The driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.

The victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. His identity remains undisclosed, pending notification of the family.

The authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the fatal collision.
