Four people were injured, two critically, in a head-on collision in Ripon, San Joaquin County, on Tuesday morning, March 31, 2026.
According to the Ripon Consolidated Fire District, crews were dispatched at 9:04 a.m. to the crash at the intersection of Highway 120 and French Camp Road.
A battalion chief, who was nearby, arrived within two minutes and confirmed four patients at the scene, including two with critical injuries.
Due to the severity of the crash, four ambulances were requested, and all patients were transported to area hospitals within 24 minutes.
Highway 120 was completely blocked during the response, causing significant traffic disruptions. Fire personnel remained on the scene for approximately two hours, assisting the California Highway Patrol with the investigation.
At this time, authorities have not released additional information regarding the cause of the crash or the identities of those involved.
The investigation remains ongoing.
