[03-30-2025] Two Killed After Two-Vehicle Head-On Collision on I-15 Near Deer Springs ExitTwo people were killed after a car traveling the wrong way on the southbound I-15 collided head-on with another vehicle in Deer Springs, San Diego County, early Sunday morning, March 30, 2025.

According to reports, the crash occurred at approximately 2:22 a.m. just north of the Deer Springs exit.

Emergency responders received multiple 911 calls reporting two drivers unconscious and trapped in their vehicles following the wrong-way collision.

Paramedics and first responders successfully extricated the drivers from both vehicles. However, both were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Several other vehicles reportedly struck debris scattered across the freeway lanes as a result of the collision.

The California Highway Patrol issued a traffic alert and closed the southbound lanes of I-15 just south of the 76.
