One person was killed, and two others were hospitalized in critical condition following a two-car crash in Wilmington on Saturday night, March 28, 2026.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, officers responded to the incident at around 10:10 p.m. in the 2500 block of Anaheim Street.
Firefighters extricated two people from the wreckage, including a 35-year-old woman who was transported to the hospital in critical condition. The other trapped individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second woman, estimated to be around 40 years old, was ejected from one of the vehicles and transported to the hospital in critical condition. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased pending notification of next of kin.
Police stated that one of the vehicles was traveling eastbound on Anaheim Street at a high rate of speed when it collided with another eastbound vehicle. The force of the crash caused both vehicles to strike a third parked vehicle, identified as a semi-truck.
It is not yet known whether impairment was a factor in the collision, and the investigation remains ongoing.
