A 21-year-old motorcyclist sustained an open fracture of a wrist following a collision with a pickup truck in Sunset Cliffs, San Diego, on Thursday afternoon, March 27, 2025.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash occurred at approximately 12:55 p.m. at the intersection of Catalina Boulevard and Santa Barbara Street.
The collision reportedly involved a northbound 2000 Toyota Tacoma and a southbound 2006 Suzuki motorcycle.
Investigators determined that the 31-year-old driver of the pickup truck made a left turn heading westbound on the 1000 block of Santa Barbara Street, placing the vehicle in the path of the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist sustained a wrist fracture and was transported for medical treatment. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
Authorities confirmed that drugs or alcohol were not factors in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
