[03-25-2026] Ventura County, CA – Two Drivers Killed in Collision on Las Posas Rd. in Camarillo

Two drivers were killed in a violent crash on Las Posas Road in Camarillo on Wednesday afternoon, March 25, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred just before 1:30 p.m., when the drivers of a white Ford Expedition and an orange Porsche coupe, possibly a vintage 1970s model, collided near Las Posas and Laguna roads.

Emergency crews from the Ventura County Fire Department, the Oxnard Fire Department, and Gold Coast medical personnel responded to the scene. Both vehicles sustained severe damage, trapping the drivers inside.

The driver of the Ford Expedition was rushed to Los Robles Regional Medical Center in critical condition but was later pronounced dead.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and it’s unclear whether speed, alcohol, or drugs were factors. Neither vehicle had passengers.

Las Posas Road was closed in both directions during the investigation.
