The California Highway Patrol said the collision occurred around 9:00 p.m. at San Ramon Road.

A sedan was found wedged beneath a truck near an overpass, with a semi-truck’s trailer angled across part of the roadway.

Hazardous materials crews remained at the scene into Wednesday morning to clear the wreckage.

Despite the scale of the crash, only minor injuries were reported. Drivers were advised to expect delays while the cleanup continued.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
