Residents in West Sacramento were asked to shelter in place following a crash near 5th and F streets on Wednesday evening, March 19, 2025.
According to authorities, the crash occurred around 4:30 p.m., prompting a significant police response. At approximately 5:30 p.m., officials advised residents to avoid the area and remain indoors while officers conducted a search.
K9 units from the Sacramento Police Department assisted in the operation, and a helicopter was seen circling overhead.
About an hour later, police announced that the scene was cleared, and the shelter-in-place order was lifted.
