[03-18-2026] San Diego County, CA – Man and Child Injured After Vehicle Overturns in Crash in Escondido

A man and a child were injured in a collision at a busy Escondido intersection on Wednesday afternoon, March 18, 2026.

According to the Escondido Police Department, the crash occurred around 4:33 p.m. at the intersection of North Fig Street and East Valley Parkway.

A white minivan and a dark-colored vehicle were involved in the collision, with the dark vehicle overturned in the middle of the Fig Street crosswalk. The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
