[03-18-2026] Orange County, CA – At Least One Person Injured After Multi-Vehicle Crash in San Juan Capistrano

A five-car crash injured at least one person and triggered lane closures in San Juan Capistrano, Orange County, on Wednesday morning, March 18, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at 8:26 a.m. on Ortega Highway, near the 5 Freeway exchange, and involved a gray Porsche and four other vehicles. 

Authorities issued a SigAlert due to multiple lane closures on Ortega Highway and the nearby 5 Freeway.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes. No further information was available at the time of the report, and the investigation is ongoing.
