[03-11-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck by Toyota Camry in Long Beach.webpA 65-year-old pedestrian, identified as Daren R., died after being struck by a Toyota Camry on Anaheim Street in Long Beach on Wednesday evening, March 11, 2026.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, officers responded to the scene at around 7:35 p.m. near the intersection of Anaheim Street and Redondo Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers found the victim lying in the roadway. He was transported to a local hospital by Long Beach Fire Department personnel to be treated for his injuries.

The preliminary investigation indicated that a 2011 Toyota Camry was traveling westbound on Anaheim Street towards Redondo Avenue when it struck a pedestrian walking northbound outside a crosswalk on Redondo Avenue.

The driver of the Camry remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

On March 12, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Detectives were notified of his death on March 16, 2026.

At this time, there are no indications that speed, distracted driving, or impaired driving were factors in the collision.
