[03-07-2026] San Bernardino County, CA – One Killed, Two Injured in Five-Vehicle Crash in Apple Valley.webpA 74-year-old man died, and two other people were hospitalized after a five-vehicle crash involving a possible wrong-way driver in Apple Valley, San Bernardino County, on Saturday night, March 7, 2026.

According to deputies with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Apple Valley Sheriff’s Station, the crash was reported at around 9:40 p.m. on Highway 18 near Mile Marker 92.5.

Investigators said a white Nissan Frontier driven by the 74-year-old man was traveling westbound in the number one eastbound lane of State Highway 18 toward Tao Road. The vehicle collided with four other vehicles, resulting in a five-vehicle crash.

The driver of the Nissan Frontier sustained major injuries and was transported to a hospital, where he later died. Two other drivers involved in the collision were also injured and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities have not released details about their conditions.
