[03-05-2026] Kern County, CA – Bicyclist Injured in Collision with Car at Uphohn Ave. and Downs St.

A bicyclist sustained major injuries after being struck by a car in Kern County on Thursday evening, March 5, 2026.

The crash occurred just before 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Uphohn Avenue and Downs Street.

The woman was transported by ambulance to Ridgecrest Regional Hospital. The driver of the car remained at the scene and spoke to the police. 

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
