A Domino’s Pizza delivery driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run after crashing into another vehicle in San Luis Obispo on Wednesday afternoon, March 5, 2025.

According to the San Luis Obispo Police Department, the crash occurred at approximately 12:50 p.m. at the intersection of Ella Street and Johnson Avenue.

Authorities reported that the driver had just completed a pizza delivery before the crash. Witnesses told officers that the suspect fled the scene on foot while wearing a Domino’s uniform. Another witness saw the driver discard a small bottle of liquor into nearby bushes before running away.

Police later found a “mostly consumed bottle of vodka” near the crash site. The suspect, identified as a 36-year-old Los Osos resident, was located outside the Domino’s Pizza on Foothill Boulevard with minor injuries from airbag deployment.

He was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI and hit-and-run. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.

The incident remains under investigation.
