[03-04-2026] San Luis Obispo County, CA – Two People Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 1.webpTwo people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 1 in southern San Luis Obispo County on Wednesday afternoon, March 4, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at around 3:44 p.m. near Sheridan Road in the unincorporated community of Callender. The collision involved vehicles on both sides of Highway 1, as well as one on Sheridan Road.

All occupants were out of their vehicles shortly after the crash. However, another caller reported that one driver was lying on the ground next to their vehicle. 

Ambulances were dispatched to the scene at 3:48 p.m. and located two vehicles on the roadside, with two patients suffering moderate injuries.

One patient was transported to Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria. 

As of 4:15 p.m., traffic was slowed in both directions.

The incident remains under investigation.
