[03-01-2026] San Diego County, CA – Motorcyclist Injured in Crash With Vehicle on University Ave in Hillcrest.webpA motorcyclist suffered a fractured femur in a collision with a vehicle in the Hillcrest community of San Diego early Sunday morning, March 1, 2026.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash occurred at around 1:40 a.m. 

A 41-year-old man driving a 2022 Toyota RAV4 eastbound in the 700 block of University Avenue turned onto the 3900 block of 8th Avenue through a green light. 

At the same time, a westbound 2024 Harley-Davidson Low Rider was traveling in the 800 block of University Avenue.

Police said the motorcyclist entered the intersection and collided with the Toyota’s right rear. The rider sustained a closed right femur fracture.

Authorities stated that DUI is not suspected for either party, and fault has not yet been determined. 

The investigation remains ongoing.
