A 69-year-old pedestrian was fatally struck by two vehicles while crossing North Main Street near Rossi in Salinas on Saturday night, March 1, 2025.
According to the Salinas Police Department, the crash occurred at approximately 8:47 p.m. The driver of the first vehicle that hit the pedestrian remained at the scene and reported that a second vehicle struck the victim while he was lying on the road.
The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office Coroner Unit identified the victim as 69-year-old Rickey S. of Salinas.
Authorities confirmed that the driver involved in the initial impact is cooperating with the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing.
