[02-28-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – One Person Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash in Downtown LA

One person was killed following a two-vehicle crash in downtown Los Angeles early Saturday morning, February 28, 2026.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the collision occurred in the area of Figueroa and Third streets. The Los Angeles Fire Department reported that paramedics and firefighters were dispatched to the scene at approximately 2:03 a.m.

Authorities said the individual was transported to a hospital, where the person was later pronounced dead. The LAPD’s Central Traffic Division is investigating the crash, and officials stated that drugs and/or alcohol may have been a factor.
