[02-28-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – One Arrested After Vehicle Crash on Ventura Freeway in Encino

One person was arrested after crashing their vehicle on the southbound Ventura (101) Freeway in Encino early Saturday morning, February 28, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded at around 1:17 a.m. to the crash near the Balboa Boulevard exit. 

Two victims were found at the scene, one of whom was trapped inside the vehicle. Los Angeles Fire Department crews responded to assist and freed the trapped victim.

The driver was arrested at the scene, though the specific charges were not disclosed.

The investigation remains ongoing.
