[02-27-2026] San Bernardino County, CA – One Dead, Another Injured in Crash Involving Two Big Rigs on Highway 247.webpOne person was killed and another injured in a fiery crash involving two big rigs on Highway 247 between Lucerne Valley and Barstow in San Bernardino County, early Friday morning, February 27, 2026.

According to California Highway Patrol logs, the crash was reported at around 1:00 a.m. near Fern Road. 

At least one of the involved trucks overturned and caught fire, spilling cement onto the roadway. Good Samaritans stopped to try to assist at the scene. 

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while another was transported to a hospital for treatment.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and authorities continue to gather details.
