[02-27-2025] Riverside County, CA – Man Critically Injured After Arm Becomes Trapped in Machinery at Riverside Manufacturing Plant

A man was critically injured after his arm became trapped in a bailing machine at a manufacturing plant in Riverside, on Thursday evening, February 27, 2025.

According to Riverside Fire Department Battalion Chief Pat Hopkins, the incident occurred around 9:00 p.m. at a business in the 7100 block of Central Avenue.

Firefighters arrived to find the man’s left arm trapped in the machinery. The department’s Technical Rescue Team, in collaboration with plant mechanics, worked for about an hour to carefully disassemble the machine and free the trapped worker.

Once freed, the man was transported by ambulance to a trauma center for treatment. His condition was reported as critical.

The cause of the incident is under investigation.
