[02-24-2026] San Diego County, CA – Semi-Truck Crash Causes Lane Closures on I-805 Near University City.webpA crash involving a semi-truck hauling vehicles caused lane closures on northbound Interstate 805 near University City and Miramar in San Diego late Tuesday morning, February 24, 2026.

According to California Highway Patrol logs, the collision occurred around 10:30 a.m. and involved a semi-truck and a Toyota Tacoma. 

Caltrans issued a traffic alert just after 11 a.m., stating that the right two lanes of northbound I-805 at Nobel Drive were blocked due to the crash. A SigAlert map showed traffic backed up to the I-805 exit near Governor Drive. The lanes were reopened about half an hour later. 

The cause of the crash and whether any injuries occurred remain unknown at this time.
