An off-road vehicle rider was killed after colliding with an SUV on state Route 94 in Dulzura, San Diego County, on Sunday morning, February 23, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 11:00 a.m. on the rural highway northwest of Marron Valley Road.
The off-road vehicle collided with a Subaru Crosstrek, causing the rider to be ejected from the vehicle and land on the right side of the highway. It was reported that the rider may have also struck a tree.
Firefighters from Cal Fire San Diego Station 30, located within a mile of the crash site, arrived within minutes and performed CPR on the victim. However, the rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
No details about the identity of the victim have been released.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
