[02-22-2026] Riverside County, CA – 62-Year-Old Woman Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle in Rancho Mirage

A 62-year-old Palm Desert resident, identified as Alicia M., was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Rancho Mirage, Riverside County, on Sunday night, February 22, 2026.

According to deputies, the incident occurred just before 10 p.m. near Highway 111 and Frank Sinatra Drive. 

Authorities arrived to find a woman in the roadway suffering from significant injuries. Despite lifesaving efforts by first responders, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
