A bicyclist was killed in a collision with a vehicle on Pacific Coast Highway north of Sycamore Canyon Road in Ventura County on Saturday morning, February 22, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred shortly before 11:15 a.m. in the northbound lanes near sand dunes south of Thornhill Broome Beach, generally south of Mugu Rock.

Emergency responders, including the Ventura County Fire Department, arrived at the scene and confirmed that CPR was being administered to the bicyclist for a traumatic injury. Despite rescue efforts, the bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office was called to the site following the fatality.

No further details about the identity of the victim or the cause of the crash have been released. The investigation is ongoing.
