[02-19-2026] Tulare County, CA – Pedestrian in Critical Condition After Being Struck By Vehicle in Visalia

A pedestrian is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle on Walnut Avenue in Visalia late Thursday night, February 19, 2026.

According to the Visalia Police Department, officers responded to the incident at around 11:40 p.m. on eastbound Walnut Avenue, just west of Mooney Boulevard. 

Upon arrival, officers found that the pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle and was transported to Kaweah Health, where they remain in critical condition.

Investigators determined that the pedestrian was crossing southbound across Walnut Avenue when struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound. The victim was not within a marked crosswalk and was wearing dark clothing at the time.

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
