[02-17-2026] Alameda County, CA – Pedestrian Fatally Struck on Mission Blvd in Hayward (1).webpA 59-year-old woman was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Mission Boulevard in Hayward on Tuesday night, February 17, 2026.

According to the Hayward Police Department, the incident occurred around 9:20 p.m. in the 23000 block of Mission Boulevard. 

Authorities stated that the pedestrian was taken to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. The Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau will release her identity after confirming it and notifying next of kin.

The driver, a 27-year-old woman, remained at the scene and was cooperative, providing a statement regarding the incident.

Police do not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash. The incident is under investigation.
