According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the crash occurred at approximately 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of Avenue 50 and Van Buren Street.

Firefighters arriving at the scene discovered a three-vehicle accident with downed power lines. One victim required extrication before being transported to a hospital in critical condition. Two others sustained minor injuries and were also hospitalized.

The Imperial Irrigation District was called to assist with the downed power pole and power lines.
