[02-11-2026] San Diego County, CA – 52-Year-Old Man Critically Injured in E-Bike Crash on Coast Highway in Oceanside

A 52-year-old man was critically injured in an e-bike crash on Coast Highway in Oceanside early Wednesday morning, February 11, 2026.

According to the Oceanside Police Department, officers on routine patrol discovered the man in the roadway near Coast Highway and Seagaze Drive at around 12:11 a.m. 

The man had sustained severe head and upper body trauma. Oceanside Fire Department personnel responded and transported him to Scripps La Jolla for emergency treatment.

Due to the severity of his injuries, the Oceanside Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit has taken over the investigation. It remains unclear if any other vehicles or parties were involved.
