[02-10-2026] Stanislaus County, CA – Driver Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash Involving Semi-Truck on I-5.webpA driver was killed in a multi-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck on southbound Interstate 5 in Westley, Stanislaus County, on Tuesday afternoon, February 10, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded to the crash just before 4:15 p.m. on the southbound lanes of I-5, just north of Ingram Creek Road.

Officers reported that a pickup truck traveling southbound in the slow lane sideswiped an SUV stopped on the right shoulder, which then pushed the SUV into another vehicle.

The pickup truck continued driving, sideswiping two additional vehicles, both sedans, before crashing into the back of a stopped Freightliner truck.

The driver of the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

CHP confirmed that the driver of the pickup truck was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, and it remains unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.

The incident remains under investigation.
