A 57-year-old woman sustained a fractured fibula after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run collision at Talbot and Canon Streets in San Diego on Thursday evening, February 6, 2025.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the woman was crossing from west to east in the north crosswalk of the 3700 block of Talbot Street at approximately 7:16 p.m. when an unknown vehicle traveling eastbound on Talbot Street turned north onto Canon Street and hit her.
The driver fled the scene without stopping to assist the victim. Emergency responders transported the woman to a hospital for treatment. Her injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Authorities have not determined whether alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash. The department’s Traffic Division is investigating the incident.
